Through our Character Counts program, teachers and school staff nominate students who consistently demonstrate kindness, responsibility, perseverance, and respect. Each selected student is recognized with a bicycle package they can use for transportation to school, after-school activities, and opportunities throughout the community.

This year, we don't have enough donated children's bicycles to recognize every deserving student. Your gift will help us provide 100 new bicycle packages to students during the 2026–2027 school year.

Character Counts
Celebrating Kindness, Responsibility, Perseverance, and Respect.
In partnership with 53 Title I schools throughout Palm Beach County, Character Counts recognizes students who consistently demonstrate kindness, responsibility, perseverance, respect, and other positive character traits. Teachers and school staff nominate students whose actions inspire those around them, and each recipient receives a bicycle package in recognition of their achievement.

For many students, that recognition becomes much more than an award. A bicycle can provide reliable transportation to school, after-school activities, jobs, and other opportunities while reinforcing that positive choices are seen, valued, and celebrated.
